We are currently recruiting a Web & Graphic Design Intern.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic graduate (we will accept applications from individuals in their last year of University), with a passion for home-decor.
The Role:
As part of a small, dynamic team, you will assist our current graphics team in driving the design elements across the URBANARA website as well as supporting collateral, such as print, online banners, ads and landing pages to maximize traffic and conversion rates.
We are looking for someone with a passion for web design, photography, type and illustration. Highly creative, full of ideas and with an eye for detail, you will be responsible for creating visual designs that communicate product, editorial and brand identity in an effective and original way online.
With extensive knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and related packages, Illustrator and In-design, you will help support our graphics team to design weekly home page banners to sit within our existing site. You will also assist with the retouching, color correcting and image optimization for the website. Finally, you will be involved in preparing our weekly newsletters to be sent out to customers.
You will need to enjoy working in a fast paced environment and have plenty of drive and initiative to get things done, with minimal supervision. This will be a varied and challenging role for a bright, motivated, self-starter.
Your Profile:
- Graduate or about to graduate, preferably in a web or graphic design field, ideally with some experience in a retail or ecommerce environment
- Extensive knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS with strong understanding of how to design for web a plus
- Passionate about home decoration with a great eye for design
- Highly organized and detail driven with the ability to work independently
- Flexible, motivated and team oriented
- Fluent in English with other European languages (German) a plus.
