Protection of data privacy on dasauge

We realise that data privacy is very important to you. This section provides you with information about the type and extent of data storage of user and member data on dasauge (status: 20.02.2012). By using dasauge, you agree with the content of the following provisions.

1 Personal data

Personal data is basic user data, such as name, e-mail address and postal address, as well as user data such as username and password.

Personal data is only stored by us when you register as a member and when you submit profile, job or similar entries to the site. In addition to the information you submit for this purpose, we collect information about the browser type used (communicated as “user agent”) and the IP address of the existing internet connection when you register or change your account details. This additional data is used for statistical purposes and to trace misuse of the site.

2 Other data

As is usual practice for internet sites, when you use the dasauge site, the addresses of the pages you visit (URLs), data communicated by the browser such as “user agent” (i.e. browser type and version), “referrer” (previous page visited), as well as IP address and time of each page view are saved in so-called “log files”. This information is used for statistical purposes and to guarantee operational security.

3 Use of data

When you submit data with the intention of publishing it (site entries and forum postings, not registration data), this data is made available to dasauge users and third party applications that wish to access this data (e.g. search engines, job robots or users of RSS feeds) for restricted use in line with the dasauge terms of use.

The e-mail address that you submit when registering will only be used by dasauge to check the user’s identity (i.e. whether they can be reached by e-mail) und to occasionally inform the user about membership matters, unless you choose to use it for other purposes e.g. in contact forms, e-mail agents, newsletters or similar. We would like to stress that it will not be passed on to e-mail database operators.

To optimise contents for individual users (“personalisation”), personal data and other data may be combined for evaluation purposes.

If dasauge should be sold to another operator, personal data and other data necessary for continued operation of services may be passed on to the new operator under the provision that such data may only be used in such a way as does not infringe the data protection provisions detailed here.

Beyond these listed provisions, personal data and other data will categorically not be passed on to any other third parties.

4 Cookies

Cookies are parcels of information that are not stored on the server, but instead allow certain data to be stored with the user or particular data to be allocated to one user by saving a definite form of user identification.
